Welcome to Camp Ponderosa Ranch
Camp Ponderosa Ranch celebrated its inaugural season in June, 1999.
The camp is located on 153 acres just 1½ miles west of Heber, Arizona.
The camp is set in a beautiful setting located on the Mogollon Rim of
northeast Arizona. CPR is only 2.5 hours away from the heat of the
Phoenix Valley.
CPR is a year-round camp. Our summer programs serve kids ages 6 through
young adults! We offer a variety of camps to meet the needs of today’s
kids. The camp holds several retreats throughout the year including
retreats for men, women and young adults. The camp is also available to
outside groups for use. For more information on renting CPR check out the

Each year hundreds of campers experience this special place, where
caring staff promote a safe haven of learning and interacting with
others, nestled in God’s wonderful creation!
Camp Ponderosa Ranch is also and accredited camp, both by the American
Camping Association and the Christian Camping Conference Association.
Camp Ponderosa is managed by a wonderful staff that really has a heart
for ministry.
Captain Ramon Ocaño is the Divisional Youth & Candidate’s Secretary and
is the Executive Director of the Camp. Captain Ocaño has a youth and
music ministries background. He was appointed to his current appointment
in June of 2007.
Peter Pemberton is the Camp Director. He also has a background in Youth
Ministries and has served as a Youth Pastor in several churches in the
mid-west and Northern California. He has a heart and a deep passion for
youth and camping ministries!
Neil LaBarge is the Director of Operations and has been for almost 30
years! He is a huge asset to the ministry of camp. CPR looks and runs
great because of Neil’s passion and care for it. Neil oversees the
operations and maintenance of the camp. He is assisted by two hard
working gentlemen, Jerry and Dave.
Other camp staff includes Diane, our Food Service Manager, Jan, our
Assistant Food Services Manager and Jesse our Guest Services
Administrative Assistant, who is bilingual in English and Spanish.
