Ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Summer at Ponderosa is a life-changing experience for you and the kids you’re serving! Discover your passions and purpose, all while having an amazing time. Come learn to be the spiritual leader God is calling you to be. Break days are awesome, too! We’re a day trip away from the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and Canyon De Chelly and just down the road from some of the most beautiful lakes in Arizona!

Be the reason someone gets 3 meals a day this summer. We’re cooking up something delicious in the Pondi Kitchen, but we need you to get that food to the campers! Get real food service experience and have a real good time as part of the hospitality crew.

Our Camp Support Crew goes where the need is. Sometimes that means cleaning, and sometimes that means making cotton candy! Camp support isn't just about the tasks; it's about diving headfirst into the world of Camp Ministry and discovering your hidden talents and passions along the way. Who knows? You might find your calling in the most unexpected places!

We are sure we make the best camp food on the mountain. We can’t prove it, but we believe it with all of our hearts. Our Summer Chefs make sure of that. Work closely with our Camp Experience Manager and your fellow Summer Chefs to make food that is delicious, fun, and filling.

We work hard to make sure camp is as safe as possible, that being said, we don’t keep campers in plastic bubbles. Our nurse ensures that when someone does adventure a little too hard, they have someone trained to treat them. Our nurse also takes charge of camper meds and whatever else needs done to ensure the health of Camp Ponderosa.
(PS It’s also our highest paying summer job)

Our nurse has a big job, and they’re going to need some help to make sure everyone is healthy and ready for Camp. That’s where our office and Nurse’s Assistant comes in. When you aren’t assisting the nurse, help us stay organized and keep parents up to date on their campers.

We want everyone to see just how amazing a summer at Ponderosa is. Our multimedia specialist uses photography, videography, and social media to share Camp with the world! You don’t need to be an expert, just be willing to learn. You’ll also be an integral part of camp running smoothly when programs need audio/visual enhancement.

Our Hospitality Coordinator is the fearless leader of our dining hall staff. Makes sure every camper is fed on a good time frame while being a spiritual leader for the crew.

Feel like you’ve got a hang of this Camp Ministry thing? Ready to run the show? Our Program Director leads our summer programming. Their main responsibility is to serve the summer staff and make sure the Pondi crew has everything they need to succeed. This might mean creating the schedule or coming alongside a staff member who’s having a tough week. You work with the leadership team to set the tone for the summer.

What’s camp without learning more about Jesus and fun activities? Our Christian Ed Director does both at the same time. Our Christian Ed Director make’s life with Jesus what it’s supposed to be, FUN! You’ll be the hub for our Chapels, Campwide Games, and more, all while empowering others to be the best parts of Ponderosa.

Art is all around us at Ponderosa. Specifically, God’s beautiful art through his creation. Now, it’s our turn! Our Arts Enrichment Director is tasked with enriching the camp experience with color and pizazz. The craft house is your home base, but all of camp is your canvas as you lead each camper to become little artists themselves.

Our counselors are awesome, but everyone needs some help and guidance. Our unit coordinator works with our counselors and ensures they are in a good place mentally, physically, and spiritually. It’s your job to come alongside counselors and ensure they have everything they need to succeed!
